.....if we start with a lever-pendulum(two tubes,pipes arrangement) , playing an  irregular motion (swinging,rotating ) , as :

.....then the same lever-pendulum ( tubes,pipes ) arrangement , but introducing a restriction to the joint (180 degrees ) for the small arm (tube , pipe),intended to play a regular motion , as :

.....soon after..."filling" the small arm ( \spring-free sliding mass - spring\...inside the tube ), so to play as an elastic pendulum...
.....and finally , removing the "hidden" electromagneric "assistance" with a possible unseen ,also ...but this time as a natural "assistance"(continuous unbalance due to gravity and rotational inertia )...however , if we have a validation test ,nothing but ?!

The swinging sticks are battery operated. In comment section fellow says about 2 years on set of batteries. The lowest price I saw on eBay was around $100.
