Take a look at this video

http://www.micropixel.biz/veljkomilkovic/videos/Veljko_Milkovic_(video-5)_Laboratory_pump.wmv  if you hook this up to your device and use a coil and glue a magnet onto the pendelum to keep it moving with the electricity you are generating you may then get it to self run.

You will need a little switch to trigger the pulse to the electric coil.
