High voltage HHO by IronHead

About those power supplies:
I've been into Radio-controlled airplanes quite a while.  In the past few years electrics have made big advances with lithium batteries providing a greater power reserve for the weight.   The motors are also 3phase which require an elaborate controller converting DC to 3ph AC, but the older controllers are still out there.  Here

is a source for high amp moderate voltage (up to 40 VDC I think) controllers that may serve our purpose.  Only thing is y'all need a radio system or servo driver to control them.  I plan on using one of these if I cain't find anything else.

Ok, so i just found this thread, but i have done a lot of research on 'HHO', I'm tryin to get the material together for a cell like the one ironhead is having us make, i don't think that will take too long
--The cell that i built before finding this thread was a cylindrical type made from aluminum, it consisted of one positive and one negative spaced approx. 1/16 in. apart.
this was of course my preliminary test to see if i could even create a flammable gas using potable water.  I used 18V and 300mA for the system, I've ran this system three times now over about 3 weeks (for fun)   but i now have this clowdy thick stuff in my water, when it settles to the botton it looks kindof like the stuff a jellyfish is made of.  It creeps my wife out cuz it came from the same water we use to cook with.

Did you have any type of electrolyte in this cell? LYE, KOH, God help me SALT.
If so you will be getting a reaction with the aluminum.
I know that if you take strips of aluminum foil and fold it into balls and place that in any type of electrolyte you will be makin hydrogen and aluminum oxide, the aluminum oxide will settle on the bottom of the cell.

This is one way of making hydrogen without electricity, and would probably explain the junk on the bottom of the cell.

Be careful with aluminum reactions, on a large scale anyway. contain the stuff and
waste it properly .

The next steps are going to be on much higher voltage. Yeah I know that 2 volts or whatever is all you can put on each plate in a cell and then you get heat beyond that.

But if I put 200 volts  at low amps to my cell and get 10 times the output of  HHO at 150F* then you bet I will deal with the heat  and in the long run the heat will be used to aid reaction once the cell is all closed up and running in a circuit .

This will be when there is a cooling circuit  in place to condense steam and KOH  back and return to the cell. We are not there yet. So for those that have Variacs we want to see the effect as we turn up the voltage in  straight water.

This is going to help understand the  steps that will be taken in controlling  amp dump, where we use volts instead of amps to get high output. The amps will go up as you do this ,but We will be talking about restricting those amps using magnetic fields ie chokes. Your are going to need a 300 volt Full bridge rectifier and a minimum 220AC output  variac.

This step is for an HV-HHO and not completely necessary to work with.
This is only for those that wish to get  into into HV

For those that are not ready to do this  just keep your eyes on what the rest are doing and learn while you are building your cells and testing the charge.

Things are going to start branching off into different types of cells,  you choose which path to follow

There will be time to prepare for all of this.
I still want to hear from the rest of you and your cell progress including you guys that don't normally post.
