I just started watching the video from you above post. Good stuff.

He was talking about supper fast massive computers and it reminded me of a book written in the late 1970. In the book they were taking about a team that was in the process of perfecting a technique for writing circuits directly on silicon substrates with a laser beam in an appropriate atmosphere containing the dopant. The benefit was that they could test and correct the circuit while in the process of manufacturing. That would mean no waste as in todays lithograph techniques. In fact you could use an entire wafer as your chip. That is one MASSIVE chip. Then I watched the size of the wafers increase. What are we up to now, 12 - 15 inches? WOW.

An older friend of mine owned a company that grew, sliced and polished silicon wafers. I thought that was impressive but they were only about 5 inches and that was 25-30 years ago. Can you imagine a processor that fits on a 5 inch wafer?

Yes, the government does not want everybody to have this kind of technology. Yes, I agree that it would be a disaster for a very simple reason. There are way to many god damned people. The population of a species will increase if it easy for them to do so.

The problem is it's way to easy for humans now and we have reached the point where we are beyond reasonable population density of a natural (ie. non technology based) society. I'm sorry that it is so... but, it is so.

There is another problem also. It has to do with how we reached this point. I see two major governing systems that control the thoughts and behaviors of humans. Obviously the governments of nations is a huge driving force but it is the governing system of religion that drives all of it.

I read the bible. You might not want to hear it but most of it was written by murders. It is a recipe for genocide. The people at the top stay there at the expense of those they control. Think about it.

Look most of you are looking at this one sided and for no good reason.  Yes it is obvious that in our hands it is a safe device but what if its not in ours!!

Open your eyes, do you not see what is going on in the world, how many people are dying to have atomic bombs so they can kill us.  With a big enough TPU designed right, not the way Otto is doing it (no offense Otto), it could be very dangerous.  Look at everything from a different perspective.

Tell me if I am wrong when I say the definition of ignorance is looking at something one way and not bothering about any other!

Do you have a tpu? Do you know exactly how it works? Do you know SM in person? Well, if you don't fit the profile, then NO ONE KNOWS THIS CAN BE A BOMB. Your so arrogant. You need to open your eye's, as you don't know crap about the tpu. Open source is a hell of a lot safer than patenting. Without open source, some amazing things wouldn't be here today. Like linux, or all the other software out there. Millions of people know how to program, but has the internet been shut down by a super virus? NO!

Anybody could make a bomb, anybody could break into your house and kill you right now. Wars, killing millions. The tpu would be a ant device in the midst of terrorist. Assuming that it actualy could be turned into a bomb...
