i saw a video cap charging

in tito 3 circuit the cap jas a coil for charge storage

Im not sure thats what Tito intended with a 3v zener.   Just about any diode has a reverse breakdown. Like a 1n4007 is 1kv. So it would discharge a cap once it hits 1kv. Probably small caps at best so not to destroy the diode.
The thing is, once the caps voltage hits 1kv, there probably wont be much discharged as the cap will be left at just under 1kv, I believe. Thats going off of known circuits, not discharging a tiny cap at HV.

aftet arc plasma charger test   i left it as for another day
after 16 hrs the primay has discharged to 6v
then i try to repeat the test same set up using fly swatter
i was surptised the primary discharged fast for ebery pulse and secondaru has high v spike  but returns to original voltage

then i charge up the primary cap to 12 v with wa;ll paper power supply
ithen got charging effect on both primary and secondary caps

I just used the zener in my latest project which do not use transformer anymore, it has nothing to do with the our last project. clear?.

My explanation no. 2 is the only conclusion I can conceive for a 3v zener. is to conduct till the cap is down to 3v then cut off. This is a quenching of the spark in a way, without the spark.

But also, like I said, it is possible somewhere during the discharge that the voltage 'across' the zener may become 3v or less, before the cap actually reaches down to 3v, being that when current flows in the coil, things may level out 'across' the diode before the cap gets down to 3v. Thus an early cutoff.  Maybe this is what is meant by a disruptive discharge. I always seemed to think it was disruptive to the electric/magnetic environment, like explosive, not that it meant to abruptly stop. I was thinking of them as 2 separate actions, when really it may be one in the same.
