Semi conductors are the ones that stopping you from realizing such great idea. I would suggest you only work first with Relays then Vacuum Tube Triode, for semi conductor the only good piece I can see is the JFET.. Semi Conductors cant give you enough power to the device you wanted to build, it will only restrict your design. This is the reason I give up on using Semi Conductors as switching device.

Now review the history of Free Energy Devices do they used semi conductors on their time?

Dave something like that.  You have freedom to choose  what voltage drop you wish to have where the diode is up to the voltage limits of the switching device.  The tradeoffs are:  More voltage ostensibly pulls more charge from the surroundings, but dissipates magnetizing energy in the coil faster.

If one does not restrict the voltage somehow then one invites arcing across there contacts as those contacts open.  That wears the contacts and it dissipates energy as heat.
