And because of the near stress on both plates you get dielectric charging. So with a 20k uf cap rated at 100 volt it takes about 6 pulses on each coil to hit 28 -30 vdc. Each pulse (In my setup) being .4 joule input + transient spike. 20k uf cap at 30 volt is 9 joules. 12 x .4 is about 4.8 joules. So a 2x gain +-.

If anyone has a schematic of "charging in parallel and discharging in series" could you please upload it. A DC based circuit is preferred to study the concept, just a generic simple circuit would suffice.

Hmmm lets see if we ionize the air around the coils, keeping to the proper polarity's

Hey Jeg there's no switch between pos and ground through the coil.
Looks like switch B will charge C1 then switch A will discharge C1 but C2 and pos terminal will take the hit.
Just my take there are those that are more qualified to read the circuit.
