I dunno about the bible...seems like there has been a lot of hands in that cookie jar.....if i could personally translate the text then incorporate the dead sea scrolls and all of the missing parts then I might believe half of the bible. Not to say i don't believe in god and all, its just the bible has been tampered with....

you got things like sun worshipers, the weenie worshipers(yule) and the tree huggers(druids lol) to consider, all the pagan rituals that were incorporated to help consolidate people under one religious group, all the solstice crap, Christmas is totally pagan and Christianity is a big melding pot of religions that people just made up!


hard to say where the grain of truth is in all that muck...

I don't wanna dis Christianity but there is a lot of crap that people just don't know about and don't wanna know about because it shakes their foundations of a god that lets you get away with anything as long as you pin it on his son....

I say you are accountable in this life and god forgives you if you deserve it not because you did all the paperwork right and said the right words at the right time, god is not a lawyer and you wont get into heaven on a technicality nor will you be sent to hell because you believe in Buddha, or Mohamed instead of Jesus, the end result is the same
"be good, do the right thing" and you won't burn in hell or whatever -seems like good advice for even an atheist

well that's what they say in the article... I don't believe we are short on anything yet, people (mostly large companies IMO) waste far too many resources but if the system was designed better we could have enough so that nobody was starving in the world and even end all the pointless wars... I'm not saying the population will not grow too large one day but by then hopefully we have pulled together to find a better solution rather than messing around with gm crops and forcing birth control and such like

no one will ever convince me that gm crops are a good idea... why not do some hydroponics or aquaponics instead they are pretty sound technology and we don't have to mess with the plants genes
