150% out by using resonance and a special transformer core.
It might encourage you to see a little output gain (if the experiment can be replicated, that i dont know)

he has not revealed anything specific except the hint that he uses ferrite cores, a HV source and an inverter setup.

He did specifically say that he uses ferrite cores to you?
Still the question is if it is magnetized (like testatika) or unmagnetized ferrites.
In his video i could only see something that looked like a ferrite ring on the left end of his core.
The right side does NOT look like a ferrite ring, but rather like a copper inside tube and maybe a iron sheet (something ferromagnetic like he said in the video) (or maybe just PVC) outside tube. One cable even seems to run
between those tubes, but that can be an optical effect.

So the ferrite story seems to be used only on one side or parts of that even only. or he managed to squeeze the ferrites between the tubes which would work if that was bendable sheet-type metals.

That leaves me with no clue on how to build the coils.
I simply can´t see enough wires going into the coils for this to work
like most interpretational diagrams depict.

FWIW, one of our "colleagues" on Russian forums drew this circuit schematics as a possible operational diagram of SR193's machine. I am not sure this is it, but it can be used as a reference.

As you can see, the 20W transformer is connected to the output and is used to close the loop and power the primary circuit...it is located under the circular plastic platform towards the end of the contraption.

SR193 did not use anything in his circuit he hasn't disclosed in the past, aside from the coil perhaps (as far as I can tell).

His HV source is the circuit he made in the post titled: "ПросÑ,ой и дешевый исÑ,очник высокого напряжения (для опыÑ,ов)" on his forum and you can find that document posted on other forums now as well.

The 20W transformer and the plastic spark assembly came from an old TV set apparently, and so did the HV transformer for the HV source.

Obviously there are more questions than answers. Personally I am not sure what is true and what is not - too much collusion between different parties, and way too much speculation.

Lastly, if I understood it correctly, it appears that the SR193's contraption has a core heating or overheating problem, which he mentioned in one post to a rather small (obscure?) forum.

I have seen the schematic you posted on russian forum.
The winding ratio can impossibly create 220 V in my opinion.
Most windings on the coil former would have to belong to a secondary
to reach the desired voltage
And the left end of the secondary goes clearly straight through the core and not into a relay (in the video that is)
My recollection of what SR said concerning the 20 W transformer was eroneous.
It indeed is more likely to be placed on the output.

What is worrying me is that the people that draw schematics  sometimes project into a device what they expect to find.
I mean i expect a step up transformer connection too, but i have seen
SR´s video over and over again and watched all possible angles of the blue coil, but i can not positively identify more than 2 primary wires and one secondary wire going into the coil (Apart from the tiny HV winding and the strain of wires going through the core)

you probably know all this but anyways:

from his movies i saw on, one youtube 1996 and one on metacafe.

1 disturbing the magnetic field and make it oscillate with high frequency and low voltage.
  because high voltage consumes energy- he says current  is the way to go.
  the frequency should be high like 20Mhz - the frequency is instead of high voltage.


2 disturbing the magnetic is simple and can be made with a moving part. - i don't know how yet. (he said something like an old record disk with a hole)

2 magnetic flux is duplicatable by resonance. electric flux is not duplicatible.

3 electrons can separate, they consist of a larger part and smaller part, one for current and one for voltage - (new idea for me - sound strange but possible- all the strange beta particles i don't know about them)

4 bloch wall - in the center of magnetic filed the electron separates

5 you can build coils for current and for voltage (double wire coil- one wire electricity flows in one direction , the other wire electricity flows the other direction, and so you can cancel the voltage and left with just current, you can do it half way, and so get different coil voltage current ratios )

6 if the ground is disconnected it will burn the device

7 you should move energy source away from background filed( the potential is between disturbed filed and not-disturbed filed,(idea from wikipedia: ferrite shields high frequency)  )

electrons moves very slow - my guess with Don smith's words - the frequency should be so high and electron movement so low that electrons just touch each other, and enough to disturb the magnetic filed.

capacitor does not store electrons, capacitors store energy in form of EM

electricity in only needed to create magnetic filed

in a flyback transformer the current is low on the output (and too much input will burn the device) - maybe a cable in the center may fix that.

my BS from from kapanadze:
the magnetic filed "the ether" imagine the space around you and see a wave like the wave of a water drop.
the center of the round wave that is oscillating up and down, and that wave is is created by a coil around it.
now imagine inside the ether around us, in the center of a round wave there is the highest and lowest points, put in the center a wire,a grounded wire. the round wave does flyback in it so it can oscillate electricity from the earth,
also add a diode on the wire of the oscillating electrons (maybe that is what the spark gate is doing),
this probably might create a simple election pump.

SR in one of his video in Russian said, he used ferrite inside the high frequency coil.
in wikipedia written that ferrite used to shields hight frequency from wires( you see it on many computer cables ).

Don Smith Said that in order to convert electrons to usable form you have to make the electrons different from the background.
also he said that the lowest losses are in high frequency. and you can duplicate the magnetic resonance,
because the losses are on electricity and not on magnetism.
he puts something inside ferrite to make something different from background.
and he uses high frequency to have low losses and to create background noise.
to make only magnetic resonance coil you wire coils with two wires both as it was a one wire (just band in half and spool)
the voltage cancels itself the magnetic is not. also he said you want some voltage so it means probably that the resonant coils are half double wire, the other half is normal, all from same wire(he stops spooling the second wire somewhere in the middle and then just spools one wire)., maybe one half of a wire is in the ferite and thats creates the flow.

my guess: considering that the electrons move very slowly (0.042 cm/s) then it is very easy to disturb their magnetic filed, by moving them continuous with some mechanical moment.  (i don't know how it relates or how to do it),Don Smith said he did something with old music disks.

4 a solid state device - a capacitor can contain a coil, maybe a double wired with half fereited wire ,
the capacitor stores energy as magnetic filed and saves it inside it.
1) you put some energy inside a coil(capacitor), you make it vibrate
2) you let it flow into another coil, then you put it inside a capacitor
3) after the first coil empty then you connect it to earth to refill electrons.

5 - an other variation:
the coil is spinned , at first as a double wire coil until middle, after middle it is spined backwards.
