It will be too much to ask, a Barbosa two transformers setup, connected that way at 50Hz mains and monitoring input current whereas powering a bulb of the other side?

It should be a clear demonstration without many wires running around. Fixed in a Plexiglas frame would be good so as to can be lifted. Ideally it should be powered by a small inverter, using a lead acid bat and carried around! . Oscilloscope scope shots are a must too.

At 02:22 there is a subtle cross-fade in the video, at 08:18 I can see something that looks like a very thin wire under the plate like that wire wound on the coils.

Hence, shaded pole motors trick busted, case closed.
