I have been the last two days in funeral services. One of my best long time friends recently lost his ex-wife and his oldest son (14 yrs.) in a house fire. So stupid how life can turn on a dime. Maybe life will turn on a dime with OU soon as well.

Also today I will be at the Montreal Alouettes Footbal game at Olympic Stadium. Our yearly sports fest. lol

Can someone please clarify what "white noise" means and how to reproduce it. Or, is it the sound of snow falling on the ground.

Also, I think the use of the term "core frequency" should not be used. None of what @T-1000 or others have indicated involves finding out the core frequency if this means the frequency at which the core itself is resonant. This we will never really know. Everything you read is relative to coils. All coils float over the same medium core so the core is only "reflecting" like a mirror (code word for attracting ether like a sponge - lol).

1 - If you have time, please  just pulse the copper strip and read from the 150 in bifilar, then try it again with the 150 in simple parallel to see if you find at least one resonant frequency. I need someone to confirm this besides me. It is very important to understand how the copper strip works on the core to core relation.

Found an interesting effect trial.  1. Pulse the 15, short the 50 trying various cap pF values, read the 150 as bifilar, then as straight parallel.

I would like to ask this question to all but will address it more specifically to @T-1000.

I think the variable HV capacitor is required in the WNY Circuit because you are using a vacuum spark gap that has a fixed gap. So you need the variable capacitor (varcap) to fine tune to the copper strip and the vacuum spark gap. But if we use a spark gap with an adjustable gap, this should eliminate the requirement of the varcap. Or is this assumption wrong. I would appreciate anyone answering this question.

The problem with the varcap is if you have a 500pF cap and you are 1000 pf away from the target, which would be easy with any variation of the winds, this could be a cause for problems. We are better to work the gap distance which will also affect the timing through the copper strip.

Also, I am showing an image of three var caps (top three) that I picked up yesterday when coming back from the funeral. I am also showing my HV probe and also two circuits that are used for Ultraviolet Water Sterilisation that produce high voltage low amps. Maybe this circuit type (also made for ozone generators) could be used instead of the flyback. If you have a water treatment company in your city maybe call them up and ask them if they have any circuits like this in their junk bin. They usually have one capacitor that is shot.

Here is a link of a varcap supplier. They are vacuum varcaps that are rather expensive and also their amp ratings are way to high for what we need but I have not seen these types of varcaps with lower amp ratings. I think if this type could be found with maybe 1 or 2 amps rating, it would be better and cheaper.
