Tiger is too busy with new devices and he doesn't care about what you do with his originally replicated device therefore he isn't in connection with what I talking with members here. But for me it is important that his name  still be known in connection with works of other replicators!

In bucking mode two windings are connected serially in such manner that the voltages induced in them are subtracted.
In reinforcing mode two windings are connected serially in such manner that the voltages induced in them are added.

Also, windings connected in the reinforcing mode exhibit much higher self inductance than in the bucking mode.

Im having trouble posting too, It is weird, blown way out across screen

Man oh man, I thought this capacitor was discharged but when I put my hand on it whammo. What a shock. I then go to short the cap but forgot to remove my volt meter from the cap and no the VM does not work. Opening and inspecting the VM, I noticed these two red capacitors that have some writing on them as follows;

NDC
1-2
KV

But both of these caps have a slit going from the center top to about the center of the cap. The slit could be man made because you can see through the slit or this could be caused by the cap discharge. f anyone know about such capacitors and if a slit is normal or not, please advise. The VM is a Fluke 73. I have two more but wanted to try and fix this is possible.

Regarding the experimenting, I have finally found a schematic of my flyback and there are diodes in the HV side. Damn it. Will have to source another one.

I have done the Fcore test with sine wave that gives me best resonance at 7.62 MHz on the 15 turns.
But when I try the F50-turn, I get good resonance with sine or square wave at 26.7 and 21.9 MHz, but can only get resonance with a square wave at 5.72 and 2.00 MHz. Any lower and nothing.

PS: Anyone using Firefox (7.01 and latest version 8.0) notice that when making a post, the bold or other buttons are not showing and the "more attachments" does not work so only adding one attachment is possible.

WHATS UP, Wattsup, sorry  . Those are not caps purse, they were before the manufacturer turned them into spark gaps. looks like the spike went way over
2kv and may have blown the brains out of the meter So sorry

it saved as "cJhU8390.part" (27,574 bytes) so I tried again
it saved as "haWMppO+.part" (27,574 bytes)

and what is with the posting screen being a mile wide???
