I think its a rheostat adjustable inductor...HV, but its just a guess.. This link shows it at 10 min..  It has a coil inside it and is hollow.

If any one is good at math, if you would be kind enough to tell me what the frequency would be from a rotating cam shaft with 9 contacts on it, rotating at 1,000RPM's would come out to.  I am talking about each one touching a single point stretched above the 9 cam contacts.

I am just posting this for don smith fans or some one who might know who this guy is and could get ascess to his private video.  Its and older video, but he shows most videos when he didn't have a real working device then he gets a working tank circuit with the right waveform and then makes that video private.  I mean come one, your not going to make a lot of money of of them.  Anyways just thought I found it interesting.
