You are saying you have the same torch as in the video, and they run on batteries not

If you have a you Tube account maybe you should tell the guy his torchs are fake,hummmm maybe he knows this already.

What is the matter?
Such lamps are powered by a supercapacitor. When the capacitor has been charged by the current of the coil due to the motion of the permanent magnet,  it can power the light for much more than 2:30 mn.

I have a Shake Flashlight (Torch) that has been sitting on the shelf UNUSED for 2 YEARS.  After I read this post, I took it off the shelf and turned it ON, and it was FULL brilliance immediately.  As of right now, it has been FULL BRILLIANCE for 29 HOURS WITHOUT me shaking it.  It is just FLAT on the table shining away.

My THEORY is that the BIG COIL in there is picking up juice from stray electromagnetic radiation OR from the house wiring.  After I buy a couple more I will tear it apart and see what's going on in there.  LOL
