I'm no chemist but i did read Carbide in those patents. Here in the Netherlands there is an "old" folklore shooting lids of milk-cans with Carbide and water..

Calcium carbide produces acetylene in the presence of water.....hmmm....maybe they'll be adding a squeeze bottle acetylene torch to their product line soon?

According to the patent, they use hydrogen peroxide and methyl alcohol. Just mix some good 65% hydrogen peroxide with 30% methyl alcohol and pass it over a platinum catalyst and FIRE FIRE FIRE!@

Silver would be more economically viable.  But yeah, what can't one do with platinum!

I'll be impressed when they produce a nano gold/palladium/quartz matrix catalyst....then run good old fashioned Aether through it.
