Hi Sprocket,

You are right, if we could purchase the crystals ready made it would greatly simplify things.  However, there are some problems with that.  We had one guy purchase some of the zinc crystals somewhere and they turned out to not be what we are looking for here.  The only way to make sure you have the right type of crystals is to make your own according to Power1's instructions.  There are a lot of guys doing this replication, but many are not sharing what they are doing with the others.  That's the problem with these types of forums.  Energetic Forum has the same problem, everyone is off doing their own thing solo.  A few of us are working together here and you will soon see some results posted.  I for one have been archiving and studying all the information posted by Power1 and also doing some other reading, so it's thrown me behind.  Romo is a college student and very busy with his studies.  There are about twenty or so at Energetic doing this experiment too.  Some of us belong to both forums since Power1 isn't able to post on Energetic now.

I missed the posts about someone having bought the wrong crystals, but Power* himself has linked to a source of the crystals in his opening post, the same stuff/price I was referring to.  The only criteria seems to be that they're nano-sized, and there are lots of sources selling this.

I missed Powerme's link to finished crystals.  If he linked us to specific crystals then I would trust those, but I am now leary of the finished crystals unless I know for sure they are okay by Powerme saying so.
Making the crystals has slowed everyone down a lot.  It would have been a lot more expedient without this exercise, but I think Powerme wanted us to learn how to make the crystals too.  Also, he wasn't going to show anyone any more stuff if they didn't make the crystals.  Then, when a few made the crystals, he started sharing more stuff.

We need to find a good way to plate the finished crystals onto the receiver bowl and/or other surfaces within the cell.  This is a current area we could use your help in right now.  We don't want to waste any more crystals just screwing around.  If you know a good method, please come forward and share it.

The piezoelectric material fibers can be positioned on the material in arrays that provide the necessary spacing between fibers to prevent any cancellation of the vibration of adjacent fibers by direct interaction of the fibers with one another. In a preferred embodiment for this application of the fibers for producing the PZEC effect to drive a redox reaction, e.g., water-splitting, the spacing is approximately from 50 nm to 20 microns. The orientation of the fibers on the substrate is less important, as the deformation of the fibers occurs as a result of the vibrations striking the fibers regardless of whether the fibers are secured to the substrate at one end, at both ends, are disposed in a co-planar configuration with regard to the substrate, or are utilized without a substrate entirety, i.e., the fibers are free floating within the reaction environment.
