I agree and I think other members do also. Any chance you can change the 'autoplay' value to 0?

---Code:
<embed width="480" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/p/210363D8A2772090?hl=en_US&amp;fs=1&amp;autoplay=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true">

Changing  autoplay=0 will load video but not play it until the users hits the play button.

-Core

Yes, I know.

I did it on purpose to set this autoplay to 1 so that
new guest users always get a starting video on the frontpage
and this will also count up the view counter on Youtube,
so this video will get more views on Youtube, so that the video
will rank better in Youtube and the Google index...

Sorry guys, why is it so hard to press the stop button, when you go to the homepage.

@stefan

Still does not work. I am sure the forward slashes are not OK.

OK, so I grabbed the source file. I did a find for all occurrences of " />" and replace these with ">". I used the simple find/replace feature and chose replace all. I then saved the file and opened it in my browser. I attach the file below so you can open it yourself and see the buttons are there and the "more attachments" works perfectly.

I know in OU research we should not be wasting our time on such frivolous questions, but, we do post here often and lots of guys use Firefox.

Could not attach an htm file. No problem.
The file below 305782.txt should be copied to your computer. Then change the file name extension "txt" to "htm" or "html". Then right click it and open with your browser. Voila. No more hassles.

@stefan

Is it possible to add a Forum button on the top (where you have Home Community etc.) with this address http://www.overunity.com/pages/update/ on the front page. We used to have this in the old version otherwise @members willnever be able to find the Recent Posts.

What browser do you use again and do you just mean the

 tags ?
Normally with XHTML compliant code these are now spelled:

 to close the the br tag.

Does your browser not yet support XHTML ?

P.S: I can confirm, that the saving of attachments just scrambles the filename and has
an ending like xxxxxx.part
After renaming the file to e.g. picture.jpg
it works, but this manual work surely sucks..

So I just checked all the settings again and can´t find any wrong settings.
I have to ask in the SMF forums what error this could be.

Stay tuned.

@stefan

I am using Firefox 8.0 which is the latest version and when I was using version 7.0 still had the same problem for so long, I do not remember but at least a year or more this problem has been here on Firefox.

I removed all occurrences of a space followed by /> and replaced it with >. All occurrences, not only the BR. I did it to all occurrences because anyways there is no real reason to use it.

The txt file is really a htm file that you can open on your computer to see that without the forward slash, the page works fine.

I think all you have to do is remove the space and forward slash from the master post page.

Sorry it's no good it doesn't match the homepage for number of postings

Having a few problems with the right click menu when posting, sometimes I have to use the edit feature or stay on the right hand side of the page,   only a little annoying,   other than that all is working well so far.

you are incorrect wattsup. there are numerous REAL reasons to use the slashes. number one being that is what the declared DOCTYPE is... XHTML

i appreciate you trying to help debug but spreading ignorance is not the solution. you apparently still don't comprehend the simple difference between content type and doctype. please do yourself a favor and educate yourself on those subjects BEFORE you start making arbitrary assumptions.  thank you.
