I made a subsequent comment, re this idea. As you say it should be fairly simple to replicate. As a tip, I used A3 lamination pouches for the dielectric on my Akula replication and can vouch for 1 Kv applied to the capacitor plates!!

Thank you Grumage. The instructions suggested applying 90volts. Why did you use 1KV? I was thinking of using either Cling film or grease proof paper.

On another point, the booklet seems to end abruptly and I am wondering if it is complete.

Seriously though, I can vouch for 1 Kv+ because that was the voltage being raised by the action going on within the inner tube!! I have been unwell recently and have had to give up a lot of time that would normally have been spent experimenting!! I am now starting to bounce back and will probably have a looksee at this one!!

I can also recommend Oven baking (Turkey roasting) bags as they are also a form of high temperature Nylon.

From your kapagen video i noticed you used copper tube without a slit on the length of the tube.

There is a document i think it was posted by stivep1 in the another kapanadze thread in this site around 2 weeks ago.
In it mentioned copper tube loop should not be closed and there would be a gap.What i noticed it's around 1.3cm...1.5cm wide from other videos.

Honestly i don't know these would help to boost efficiency since i'm merely gathering parts at this moment.

Kapanadze schematic is different from Chubinidze.
In Kapanadze I was told to do a copper with toroids on it. So that was the setup,
Chubinidze schematic have a slit on the tube used whether it's aluminium or copper.
