This IGBT will be much slower with quite high 3700pf input capacitance and slow turn-off delay time of 190ns - https://www.fairchildsemi.com/datasheets/FG/FGA25N120ANTD.pdf
You will see it starting drawing current by itself between gate and emitter (drain) like IRFP460 when being run on 2-3MHz range which is required for smooth Tesla coil switching.
This was main reason why I swapped to higher frequency range operating MOSFET STF12N60M2 - http://www.st.com/web/en/resource/technical/document/datasheet/DM00187616.pdf and if you can find better one than this, it can be tested.

EDIT: The IGBT STGW40H120DF2 - http://www.st.com/web/catalog/sense_power/FM100/CL826/SC953/PF255269 might do a job and if someone can test with Tesla coil on 2-3MHz range, that would be great.

I mean not for Teslacoil. But for 15 kiloherc.

IGBTs are slower than MOSFETs.
IGBTs have a higher i*v product at slow speeds, though.   ...but MOSFETs are more efficient above 100kHz.

Read this.

For voltage till 500 volts is beter mosfets. For higher voltage than 500 V beter IGBT. On Capasitors in Ruslan Video is 1000 volts. So need transistor on 1000 volts. So IGBT can be better. Less loses on input resistance (betwen colector and emiter). Frenquency also not hight - 15 kiloherc, For IGBT it is normal.

output coil CW CCW 20 turns 1mm2 the output voltage of   bridge rectifier and a capacitor is 3.7 volts DC and 6 to 7 ampere!
He says inverter 220V plugged it received 14 Volt and 300 Watt? Max.
This is a little not close if it really is the output from the inverter?
3.7 V raises to 14V and the output of the inverter is 12V to 230V.

In that video Ruslan say not 3,7 volts, but 36 volts he get on output and 6-7 amperes. Then he put here inverter, who making voltage 220-240 volts, then he get 14 volts and can feed about up to 300 W with this divice.

  How about just using a 1500v 15A transistor for that purpose, like I use.
 
   I had made a video a while back showing how I connected my Joule Ringer coil to the output of the grenade 168 turns coil, and then that was also connected back to the Kacher secondary. Which would light a CFL very brightly, but, since it was not able to work like the Kacher does and needs to be wired to the grenade or yoke core, I did not notice any improvement.
  But, the frequency of any Kacher circuit also needs to be adjustable. And unless you add or remove secondary coil turns, it won't be. Adding ferrite to the Kacher's pvc pipe does increase its draw from the source.
