I believe the secret is not at plain sight at all. For me, the secret lays on the way D.S supplies his Tesla coil. As it is mentioned again, it is an other thing when we emit radio frequencies, and other thing when we emit dumping waves.

Even you do a nice job i still have doubts about your output power. I mean, if you consume 5A at 24V total about 120W, isn't it normal to full bright a 100W bulb? For sure you have a good ratio between input and output by the use of your HF katcer circuit, but still your system looks like below 100% efficiency. In addition, if you put an iron wire inside your Tesla coil tube, it will be heated the same...i guess. Thanks for sharing man. Keep your good work.

Thanks for sharing your results. It looks like that the extended period of operation after you have disconnected your p.s, is due to your input high uF cap, in combination with the low transistor consumption due to the fact that there is no load attached to it. If you have other explanation, pls share it.
