Yes because you need a one direction pulse. I think that Akula made this unipolar pulse by the use of the technique described above. It is a high voltage pulse in one direction. This way you also avoid diodes.

I did a preliminary test today. The setup is similar to the attached schematic obtained from this forum. The inductor coil is 21+20 turns in 2 layers, and the kacher runs at 1.83MHz with ground wire and antenna connected. The resonant caps of series LC are 2x0.47uF low ESR film caps (also tried 3x0.47uF). L_grenade = 150.27uH, L_inductor = 72.38uH.

Good things didn't happen. As I turned on the kacher with the push-pull already on, the bulbs doesn't give out more light. I tried different frequencies ranging from 10-20kHz, the result is the same. I also tried flipping the connections of the 3-turns winding on yoke, the grenade MAIN coil, or the half-wave rectification diode at the output. Even tried adding a diode between the negative rail of kacher and ground. Got the same results.
   

However, I noticed what is called the "Radio Moscow" effect mentioned in this huge thread. That is, with the kacher and the push-pull both turned on ,when one moves his hand around the grenade/antenna, the yoke gives out different pitch of sound.

   The "Radio Moscow" signal is something that I coined up, showing that there is some interaction between the induction circuit and the Kacher's output.  If you get no sound difference by hand movements you are probably not having the proper interaction. As that is one signs that there is some "effect".
   Also, you are using a smaller yoke core, like the one that Akula mentioned that did not work for him. The 3 inch yoke is bigger and higher, and easier to get all the turns wound as they should be. Therefore, the actual coils on your yoke are going to be smaller in size, as well.    Do you have an earth ground (37.5) meters long going to a copper grounding rod?   If you get no improvement when connecting the earth ground up, also, your frequency setting may be off. When they are right, you will see that the bulbs brighten up, even when using the simple Kacher circuit. As Adrian had showed on his bedroom video.

   Here is an updated version of Ruslan's diagram, from 2016. Geo added some changes to it, but the diagram is basically the same TopRuslan 7 version, but using the full bridge rectifier at the output, instead.

Hi Nick. I believe that was the video made by Gerson Silva Paiva from Brazil.
He made a few patent applcations where he seems to be trying to patent
setups very similar to Kapanadze. It appeared to me he was trying to rip off Kapanadze's
device by making a few changes to the basic arrangment and claiming the extra energy
comes from the 'coils capturing muons', and then applying for a patent application.
That is not Kapanadze's device. It is Paiva's supposed 'replication'. It of course could
very possibly have been faked.
