Hallo Zalmoxis  I made a sweep with the function generator from 100kHZ to 10 MHz   .
I see 3 peak resonance frequencies : small peak at 873 kHz  biggest peak at 1,55 MHz  and than a smaller peak at 3,35 MHz

Do you mean the pink colored coil over the right part of the Grenade coil or do you mean the white big coil with 5 turns over the pink coil.

also that katcher circuit would be hard to tune as it's a tesla coil how can you really tune it

We need to focus on ground wire length somehow is related to the grenate running frequency or a superior harmonic. If you connect 7m or 20m ground wire to one end of the grenate how is the resonant frequency affected on the oscilloscope ? Connect ground on the end where the scope is connected see what changes
