Yes! on your test TL494 try hooking up your Signal generator to the TL 494 via a cap
and posably a posative going diode to pin for and see if you can trigger it !
rather than it free running.

I just tried this my self the problem is it needs to be driven by a syc pulse witch makes it complicated or it
screws up the pulse width mechanisum.

I detected.
if you want to use only nano pulse, you don't need the CD4093.it is for tesla pulse only.
the POT of the 74HC00 on pin 3 and 4y5 green color controls the phase and the POT pin 11 and 9 red color, controls the width. the other 74HC00 inverts the polarity of the pulse in case you use an inverted mosfet driver. or if it is not inverted.

Re you above info can you re post the circuit your refering to only the pin numbers and the colours you refer to dont line up with anything I have, circuit wise.

AG, Soliman talks about his scheme that has a different kind of catcher than ours with TL494. This is Soliman's scheme:

It is a versatile and very good scheme. In order not to have unwanted noise in the system, 8-9 chokes (line transformers) were used.

because it has a very good and flawless scheme, Soliman is the most advanced of us. It has 240V on load, I have just 167 V on load.
