Tinselkoala's Charrier experiments.

I came across this video of Tinselkoala's Charrier effect simply with permanent magnets, by Ottavio Pergolizzi; With no electrical coil pulse. What's the permanent magnet motive force driving this horizontal torsion geomagnetic pendulum oscillation, that requires circuital amperian currents in TK's version?

1. The Charrier "effect" is not mine (if it exists at all) .... it is Dimitri Charrier's claim to have demonstrated a microNewton scale thrust from an electromagnetic thruster. However he does not measure thrust directly, but rather infers it from tiny measured displacements of his pendulum test article.

2. What I've been doing in my investigation of Charrier's claims is to examine his experimental setup to see if such tiny thrusts can be detected in the first place, over and above all the noise from environmental sources.

3. As can be seen from watching my videos, when the test article is stimulated with current delivered according to Charrier's claims in the paper, there are very strong interactions with the surrounding magnetic environment, nearby metals and probably the Earth's magnetic field.

4. A friend of mine is carrying on a personal communication with Charrier in an attempt to clear up some of the ambiguities in Charrier's original report. For example, Charrier doesn't report actual waveforms of the stimulation applied to his coil, and the parameters he does cite are problematic. We still do not know the exact voltages and currents Charrier used. Certainly when I stimulate my coil with pulses at the slowest frequencies Charrier used, at the voltage level he cites, I see very strong torsional motions that completely override any tiny micro-meter displacements that Charrier measured and from which he inferred the tiny microNewton thrusts.

5. Charrier's work is remarkable for the "cleanness" of his reported data, and for the goodness of fit of his data to his mathematical model. At this point it is incomprehensible to me how he was able to obtain this data. There is something wrong with the levels of current he cites in his 2012 Applied Physics Letters paper.

6. What does that video from Pergolizzi have to do with my work with the Charrier claims? Nothing, I think. It is unpowered, it is hanging in air, it is hung by a single wire not two.... and it's swinging in torsion, and will continue to swing for quite some time. So? It needs no power input because it is dissipating very little power in the first place. Pendulums like this can effectively couple environmental vibrations into the torsional and vertical pendulum modes and without some damping, can literally continue swinging for longer than you can watch them. So?
