In my Family we would typically go from "feats of strength" to "the Landing of blows"

and with that a quick topic change...


I was just talking to my Kid brother about how I thought Santa Bringing his Kids a
bow and arrow for Christmas may not be the wisest gift ,and  reminded him of the time we shot it up into the sky to see how far up it would go ,and then when it disappeared from sight ,stood in abject terror of it coming down and killing us....
we laughed


he reminded me of another incident with high flying projectiles ...my other kid Brother is a bit Like TK
he Builds to the extreme and stretches the boundaries ,wicked good build skills..
Well he built a Gigundo pointy long thin rocket , with all the bells and whistles ..


launched it towards the heavens 2000 ft or more ..completely out of site
Yes...the shoot system failed 


they stood around and the same abject terror took over ,all running for the hills
Except the Builder [my Brother] he stood his ground ... staring towards the heavens waiting for his pointy projectile to come home...
as he stood mouth agape staring skyward ..
it pierced his sneaker and parted his toes [big toe and next]


The quote was ;IT PINNED HIS FOOT TO THE GROUND !!


we laughed again.....

I know you are "doing you" and trying to help...and helping ...
I just like to cut to the chase and put it on the table...
  quicker and more effective ,and much more definitive, as you point out all the ongoing unanswered  devices/claims out there ..
but yes takes a much bigger commitment .

I ask again, if your methods are effective and time efficient then why is it that you still have not resolved that GDS is so much malarky?  Please provide a specific example where these methods of your group have proven to be effective and time efficient.

@MarkE: You and I both know that the reason Chet's methodology has not yet revealed anything concrete about GDS is only that the claimant, Potter, refuses to cooperate. This is the general case in such matters, as you know. Chet has made the offer to examine the claims scientifically and I believe that he and his consultants could do it to our satisfaction. All that is necessary is Potter's cooperation in the matter. It is our conjecture (supported by tons of evidence from past cases) that this cooperation will never actually materialize, because we understand that his claims are implausible in the extreme. Nay, they are impossible, really. This is not Chet's fault or responsibility. It is his time and money to spend, or waste, as he chooses, and I for one applaud his efforts, fruitless though they may turn out to be.

However, the kind of organization that Chet offers, already exists in multiple instances. Less than one hour's drive from Potter's alleged Oshawa location, and on the same side of the Canadian border, there exists just such a laboratory, fully equipped and eager to perform such testing, free of charge to the claimant and with full NDA, intellectual property protection, etc. Had Potter actually been willing to obtain a real scientific evaluation of his claims, he could simply have taken one of the "about ten" units he has claimed to have operational, over to this lab, dropped it off, and within three days a comprehensive report would be produced that would dispel all doubt about Potter and his claims.

I found I could not with clear conscience waste the time and resources of those
I have grown to Love and respect [the replicators,scientists and engineers].


So we have a very tight control for this ,it is most effective and saves much resource and wasted time.


so we grow this successful model and have tried a few dry runs here...

Boy ! there's a lot to respond to in these few pages.

Do think tanks, governments and giant corporations, cruse sites like this one ?
Are you kidding  me !!!  Why not ? 

I think that I have encountered individuals trolling for ideas.  Some of whom I though of as being
rather foul, maybe even loathsome or creepy, sort of like worms.  But hey ! I guess some people
exalt in being creepy ?

They spend milions on accountig, or lobbying,  just to save a fraction of a percent on taxes, (and reap billions in return).
Why not hire a few creeps ?

Some of you just aren't looking at this in the scale it actually exists upon.

Have you ever considered how  many govs. and corps. there are that can lay down a million dollars like it was LESS THAN
pocket change is to you or I ?

Do they some times lie, cheat, murder, supress information or propagate things like war for profit ?

duh! yah, but only da bad guys ?

Do these kinds of institutions use shills ? Historically, undeniably, emphatically yes.

Do they use them here ? I'm doubting it.

Yes I've seen some really bad behavior on this forum.  And definitly MOST of it from some of the big posters.

The FORUM WOULD DEFINITLY BENIFIT from those particular people,  beginning to practice the art of retraction and appology.

I have not lost all respect for them.  But it does show a certain lack of knowedge and intellegence on their parts.

I know how easy it is to fall into that sort of thing in an evironment like a forum, even for my self .

The people who habitually practice such lack of restraint, are in my opinion as bad as those, other wise dillusional people,
who habitually make unsubstanctiated claims,  and for very similar reasons.

Think about this

And by the way, I most definitly find SOME of the ideas behind unsubstanciated claims to be the most valuable,
thought provoking, insightful and even ingenious parts of the entire forum.

Think about this too.

It's difficult to change a habit, but I for one, sure wish they would try.

I think O.U. is a kind of target, some thing to shoot at.

Fom one side or the other.

Would I rather be trying to hit a target or trying to shoot it down so that others can shoot at it ?
