Yes exactly Spilled Fluids, One of the major problems on these boards is the mixing of terms and definitions.

One thing or rule that I consider to hold true and be an axiom is that Energy cannot be created or destroyed, and by extension I consider that to mean also that everything that exists now has always existed in some form or other, which means that everything that is in the Universe now existed before the big bang in some other form, that is considering the Universe means "all that exists everywhere".

How many people believe that everything came into existence during the big bang ? Lot's .

Nothing does not exist and there is nowhere that nothing exists, nothing cannot go bang ect. ect. Even a vacuum is "something".

Time cannot be slowed it is a measurement, when some say time can be slowed it's like saying a mile can be made longer or something.

..What I see going on here is a continuous miscommunication or a mixing of terms and definitions between people.

Which is why I proposed long ago on another forum for a list of terms and definitions to be made so when discussions get all mixed up the list can be referred to so that everyone is using the same language.

Seems a lot of time and frustration is spent in miscommunication.

I was just doing some searching and reading and found a curious term in the linked article. "Gravitational Radiation".

There is evidence to suggest that a supermassive black hole (SMBH), a black hole with a mass of over a million times the mass of the Sun, lurks at the centre of most galaxies. When two galaxies merge, the SMBHs in their centres can also spiral in together. The gravitational radiation emitted when they collide will be some of the loudest events in the Universe. More energy is emitted as gravitational radiation from one SMBH merger than as light from all the stars in the visible Universe. Measuring these mergers would tell us many interesting things about the properties of black holes, allowing us to test our understanding of GR, as well as informing our understanding of galaxy evolution.

Radiation Definition. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/radiation

Text in bolt again is the relevant definition I think.

: a type of dangerous and powerful energy that is produced by radioactive substances and nuclear reactions

medical : the use of controlled amounts of radiation for the treatment of diseases (such as cancer)

: energy that comes from a source in the form of waves or rays you cannot see

So the term "Gravitational Radiation" must mean "movement towards something being radiated as energy in the form of waves or something.

The term just makes no sense to me, "attraction is coming from a source as energy in the form of waves".  LOL.

Can anyone better define the term "Gravitational Radiation" ? As used by the article that is.
