For a Large Permanent Magnet, how would one create an instability?

Without destroying the Permanent Magnet!!!

I will give you a clue: A situation where the Pole of the Magnet can produce a repulsive Force back on its self.

Interesting setup. Although similar to EMJ's, it seems to differ in that, according to the schematic, the top and bottom coils on the C-core are not shorted, although in bucking configuration (at least as I see it). I do wish I could understand what they were saying.
Is this basically about putting AC in and seeing the same effects that EMJ has been proposing?

If by "work" you mean deliver energy out in excess of energy in then none of them work, including yours as has been demonstrated by the replications.
