Nobody seems to look at these things from the point of view of
a photon.

    Years ago now I came across the Bedini motor and I rushed to
the shops for parts, I would be able to charge my batteries at remote
locations......Not!
    Since then I've realised the importance of pencil, paper and calculator.
Even though we only receive about a billionth part of the output of the
Sun here on Earth it's very useful.
   There's no way I can see any excess energy in bits of wire and switches,
you're going to have to find it in the theory first and work from there.

However... I do have a couple of smaller DC shunt-type motors, with field coils instead of stator magnets,
and I have gotten some interesting results using the test bed arrangement shown below.
Perhaps I'll make a video demonstrating my results so far... or maybe not.
I'd hate to have to be forced to "take a meeting" and remove all my videos
because of my involvement in this project.

PS  In one motor (like you show), are there two field coils like in an universal 2 pole AC motor?  I wonder how many rotor coils are on the rotor? Just curious...

Well.... I don't know, because I don't have the same motor as you, and I'm not going to tear apart my washing machine just for this.
