Re our last topic, the Time Rate of Change, Nature's way of steady as she goes, is an interesting topic to look at. This is not present in Square Waves as we pointed out. There is no smooth change in Time, its either on or off with a leading and lagging rise/fall time.

The above video is a very good way to see the Time Rate of Change, an infinitesimal number of rectangles under the Sinusoidal Wave Form is a Chunk of Time vs Electromagnetic Wave. Where in that time, there is a gradual change in the wave.

All this seems perfectly obvious to most people, but for those that have not looked at this in depth before, it can be very enlightening.

Electromagnetic Induction requires a smooth Time Rate of Change of the source Electromagnetic Field, no change, no Electromagnetic Induction!!!

To the defence of the Square Wave - I have used the Square Wave as a tool, however.

The reason?

A Square Wave can be defined on the Scope, its definite. As Charge Separates in Coils, as Electromagnetic Induction Occurs, this tends to round Edges, tends to not be Square.

The term 'vibration' is precisely used to describe mechanical oscillation but as a synonym of 'oscillation' too. Familiar examples include a swinging pendulum and alternating current power.
