It would seem there is something quite odd going on at Antarctica
either google is playing a game

I think it's a fascinating subject from operation hi jump to Admiral Byrd or the Pyramid Linda Moulton Howe has mentioned. For me the big question is if it Aliens or us.

I find the Admiral Byrd story very interesting.   I haven't looked at everything here except the first image you posted.   When I go to those coordinates it looks different than above and looks simply like a spot where the snow / ice has melted - it's almost like they inverted the image you posted above Chet.   Looking at the bigger view there were lots of melted spots that looked like water.   What appears to be raised in your picture is I believe actually a sunken melted out spot and you are just seeing water.   The one above looks like this when I use Google :
