The nutters are all discreetly pro Trump. I think he is trying to duck responsibilty for the covid crisis, despite the fact that he is president. ["Heavy hangs a head that wears a crown"]. He's hoping to pin it on phantom people controlling from above for reasons that aren't clear.

I would agree trump completely dropped the ball on Covid and made it political to serve his interests.

With respect to the nutters being pro trump, there's obviously plenty of nutters on the left as well. The nutters seem to like the fringes of left/right while most normal rational people move to center in my opinion. I'm a Conservative but I like the Liberals platform on making big polluters pay because they made the pollution not me. Why would I subsidize the big polluters?, that's not conservatism or capitalism that's socialism in my opinion.

My philosophy is to take the best from both sides of right/left to make something better and work together for the common good.

As trump said..."I don't take responsibility at all". He takes credit for everything good but takes no responsibility for anything bad which is basically the mind of a child syndrome. So the fact that trump is now a republican has nothing to do with it. The real problem is that he has mental problems, he is irresponsible and unfit to hold any office serving the public.

I believe in liberty for all.  I value the personal freedom I have know in this time and place, where I was fortunate enough to have been born,  America.  However, I am most definitely, conservative on some issues.  Anyone in their right mind, should be !

In the U.S. and in the majority of the world's nations, we have free market / capitalistic economic systems (not communist).   
         And
we have various forms of democratic / self governance  (not fascist).

municipal, county, state and national parks, 
                                     as well as
all branches of the military,
the veterans administration,
our social security system,
the "welfare system"

public side walks

                SOCIALIST institutions, or  benefits there of.

These are good things.  They are Not communist, they are socialist !

There are many, many very good aspects of socialism in our U.S. system.

It's okay to be a liberal however I think sometimes the left goes to far left with a the welfare state/guaranteed income thing. I think they should have mandatory re-training in something to teach skills like to become a trades person. There shouldn't be a free lunch where people get paid to do nothing, it's an unworkable solution.

I would beg to differ and the U.S. like Canada has created a welfare state for big business giving billions of dollars to already wealthy corporations to create a few hundred permanent jobs while giving management and shareholders a bonus. That's not capitalism nor is it socialism but more like the communist oligarchy we see in Russia.

Socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

I don't agree with socialism as it is defined above and we also need much more private enterprise and small business. If everything was owned and operated by the community it would soon turn into a shit show where nothing gets done efficiently. It simply doesn't work in practice because too many people always disagree or have a vested interest ie. corruption at which point nothing gets done as planned.

Socialism simply doesn't work nor does communism and capitalism is still the best bet if it can be regulated to still serve the the public good. Let's face the facts, anytime we get large numbers of people to make any kind of competent decision it generally turns into a shit show. What we need are better, more competent leaders unlike the one's we have who can actually get something done and act in all our best interests.

Everyone has gone way too far left and right in my opinion. What ever happened to normal or middle of the road?.
