The fact remains, in video 5 at around 7:30, it was taking 17 watts
from the DC power supply just to light a pair of 2.8 watt lamps...
(which were the only load and appeared to be series connected)

Is there anything in the above statement that is not true?

Do you believe the readings on the power supply to be in error?

Are the lamps not actually rated 14volt @.2amps (2.8 watts)?
