The video reminds me of my childhood.
I fabricated dune buggies, motorcycles, sail boat, iceboat, motor boat, hovercraft, passive solar heating, wood furnaces, metal forges, 3m wind turbine, 2hp Combined Heat and Power unit, potato vodka/alcohol still, cannons and catapults, Tesla coils and countless other things when I was a teenager.

It was all fun but as a person learns and matures it becomes obvious burning stuff is inherently unsustainable and primitive. All the most primitive cultures need to burn stuff while the most advanced cultures do not.

Think of it this way, there is no such thing as "burning" anything, it's an illusion.

An engineer or chemist might call it oxidization, we excite a hydrocarbon CxHy, it recombines with O2 and liberates energy. However even this is a primitive view at best. In reality the excitation/oxidation process simply reconfigured the geometry of the atom grouping. CH + O2 became H2O + CO2, ergo we just moved some atoms around. Fission/fusion is really no different only were moving some electron/protons around from one atom to produce a different atom and energy.

So while many may see stuff as burning in reality all were really doing is manipulating the atomic grouping/geometry of a material to liberate some of the kinetic energy contained within the system. Find a better more efficient way to change the atomic grouping/geometry and we could have all the energy we want without burning anything.

It's strange and my perspective has become so far removed from others I have almost no idea what they could be thinking any more. Most seem consumed with burning stuff but have no comprehension of what it is there actually doing in reality. Everything is viewed on the most primal, subjective and superficial level for some reason. It's almost as if there was a narrative to dumb everything down to the lowest level rather than expand our knowledge and evolve our thinking.

The past was not the good times, when I have a house floating above a lake like a balloon in the middle of nowhere and everything I need is being produced by advanced technology those will be the good times...

Our mind is like a computer, our eyes only see the jittery reflected light off surfaces. Our mind then interlaces past views with the present so we think we see a stable uniform image. Our mind also discards 90% of what our eyes see otherwise the complexity would overwhelm us. In more extreme cases it can even remove things from our view. Thus the saying seeing is believing is in some respects false. 

Another example is the picture below. The solar system does not look like what almost everyone was taught, it's not true. It looks more like the picture below with millions more smaller objects in orbit. In reality it also occupies a three dimensional space not 2D as pictured below. So again, the actual reality is literally nothing like most people imagine it.

In fact most of what we think and what we were taught is not completely true. At best it's only a partial or misplaced view and it's on us to fill in the gaps with respect to science, knowledge and understanding.
