In the news...

There is now three Can/U.S. borders and Ottawa taken hostage by the protesters.
Both countries are losing hundreds of millions of dollars per day, factories and businesses closing, thousands of layoffs.
The protesters have said there not going anywhere until they get there way and are ready to do whatever it takes.
Just a bunch or truckers and farmers having a little fun...

I don't think anyone was naive enough to think this far right thing wasn't going to escalate out of control.

It's a learning experience, I think most of the protesters are probably pretty good people who got duped by all the fake social media circulating everywhere.
However it's problematic because we cannot trust anyone who displays a complete disregard for the facts and such bad judgement.

As Gustav Le Bon said in his study of "The Crowd", once they have turned on everyone around them they inevitably turn on themselves.

Special characteristics of psychological crowds - The turning in a fixed direction of the ideas and sentiments of individuals
composing such a crowd, and the disappearance of their personality - The crowd is always
dominated by considerations of which it is unconscious - The disappearance of brain activity and
the predominance of medullar activity - The lowering of the intelligence and the complete
transformation of the sentiments - The transformed sentiments may be better or worse than those of
the individuals of which the crowd is composed - A crowd is as easily heroic as criminal.

This is why everyone in the protest who is interviewed keeps repeating the exact same mantra or phrases as if on cue.
As Le Bon implies, there mind is no longer there own but part of the collective mind of the crowd.
The last phrase hits home as to what were seeing at the protests...A crowd is as easily heroic as criminal.
