@Macedonia posted the information below on another thread on May 27th and may provide more information. He seems to have changed the original 150khz to 250 khz.

I asked him on that thread if the speed diode shown below is OK but he never replied on that thread and opened this one.

Well, this just sounds like an air core transformer with a high speed diode(or a couple) in series with a cap on the secondary?

diagram would be nice. Not sure if he's saying have a few series diodes on each leg of the secondary and then have the cap in parallel with both legs, and a bulb, or what.

I sent Macedonia a personal email for more info and also offering help in his english.

In his description, he does not refer to a secondary but to a collector. Like SM refers to his secondaries as collectors.

Sounds like the capacitor is being charged in pulses using the high speed diode to rectify the output of the secondary. It does sound very similar to a flash circuit for a camera.

Google blocking oscillator and you will see several variations being used to operate as a DC/DC converter, I have posted several links to these circuits in the other SM threads.

Think about using the control coils and feedback coil as the integral coils being used to generate the frequencies needed. In looking back at the clues SM provided this seems to fit nicely. Not sure if this will work but I am working on this idea and will test some of this out today (finally have some free time). I will post some results of this testing later in one of the other threads.
