Ideas on building a better TPU not just copying SM's

one has to realize that the thought comes first before experimentation. Like SM has fuzzily pointed out, only EM experts with plenty of experience and knowledge will be able to understand the "HOW" of this type of device. The WHY can be learned over time by understanding the HOW.

I have ideas of HOW, but when i try to express into words, the expression becomes muddy, mainly bc i dont have a PhD in EM to express it "precisely". I think that is a problem w/ many here.

The REASON why we should have these brainstorming sessions is because it may "jarr" an expert's way of thinking and allow them to see other, unorthodox,  possibilities. Fresh ideas are always important in advancement. Anybody who has been in RD, in any field, knows this.

maybe i will make a drawing and "show and tell".

No on with a PhD in physics, or any engineering discipline has figured out the TPU either.

 I am new here so feel free to shoot me.
I remember the leadskinin perminent magnet holder from another site. I never felt much like wasting all the wire or time to wind one so I used an electro magnetic break from a wheel chair motor to see the effect. His idea was that for the electric magnet to hold it's field and current he had to close the north and south poles of his magnet with another piece of iron plus close the windings to one another. Which in his eyes meant the current was running round in the windings for ever or until the added bar across the north and south poles were removed at which point the current was lost or that a load could be applied to the windings which also ate up the stored current. It was interesting that he said the current and or field must still be in motion in this closed arrangement while it was being stored. Hence the name perpetual motion holder.
   Looking at this tpu unit on the video and not having a Phd but being of mechanical mind. I have remembered many things which have been discribed or defined which I do not completely understand except for the basic concept. Like a magnet does not run out of power when stuck to iron object (maybe one day it will after a few hundred years) that a magnet will resist being pulled away from an iron object seemingly increasing in it's attracting force.
  If these are true and not just wrong observations looking at the videos and the positions of the vissable parts and external shape of the unit. Could it not be functioning simular to Ed's perminant motion holder. If the two outer rings were actually wound to have two windings oposite with the lower ring off set in reference at 45 deg and the path of the current was a closed loop in such a way that it resembles a figure 8 path switching from lower ring to upper ring then a pattern of motion which has both X and Y movement like to wheels that wobble but are set to cancel out each others individual wobble. The up and down wobble or if you like when the field changes from the lower ring to the upper ring wouldn't that be a potential field with out exhausting the current traveling the rings or teroids. It seems in my mind that would also produce a gyroscopic effect with the magnetic fields reach around the device or the space just around the device. If that wobble was at the right rate if speed it might even lock onto the earths field sort of the same way a scope latches onto a frequency. I doubt it.
  Im not 100% sure but I don't think you can make a gyroscopic effect with out spinning mass. To do so with out mass may require fields rotating on two planes that intersect leaving a space between them in two locations.Between those spaces should be a place where a potential rotating field would exist no? There may also be some form of a fulcrum advantage with relation to distance traveled around the path compared to the distance of separation at the two furthest point apart.
  Im still thinking about the gyro effect and what it would take to make it in a massless system. Any thoughts? Am I way off? Maybe some one has an explanation with some sort of prior experience in electronics that can explain how you can make a gyro with out spinning mass. Perhaps a gyro with several planes can be arranged to provide several differences of potential which feed into each other out side of which a much stronger field supported in N,S,N,S,N,S~ can be tapped.
  If you cant picture it think of the obits around an atom. They seem pretty reliable.

Just one more thing, you can not patent something which is found to be in nature or pre-existing natural what ever.Marks only patented the control aspect not the teriod coil part. That would lead me to believe it is based on the model of an atom he just noticed a point in the pattern of spin he might be able to tap as a potential ie the control and utilization. It just had to be scaled up with junk parts. Junk is good.
