What I've noticed about very intelligent people is thay have a natural curiosity that began when they were children and lasts their whole life.  They're never done learning.

I can't remember if it was Carl Sagan or Arthur C Clark who stated "It is yet to be proven whether high intelligence has any long term survival value"  :D

You make an interesting point about the survival of intelligence. There is a very famous saying that goes "Curiosity killed the cat" so I suppose if you are a highly intelligent cool cat type person life expectance is..... (insert thought here)
