Info from a Newbie

I took a single coil with 300 turns of #22 wire.
On each end of the coil was a rotor fixed to a shaft so that when the rotor turned, the shaft turned. My intention is to "scale up" this design to the point where I can power an alternator or generator. There are four magnets on each rotor. The magnets on one end of the rotor that face the rotor are north. The ones on the other end that face the rotor are south. On the end of the shaft is a cam that opens and closes a set of automobile points so that the points are wide open as the magnets on the rotor pass the coil, canceling out the electromagnet so that it doesn't "lock up" on the coil.

Here is how it is wired.
The negative on the supply battery is connected to the negative on the charge battery
The positive on the supply battery is connected to one end of the coil. The other end of the coil is connected to two places, "A" and "B"
A is one side of the points, which act as a switch. The other side of the points is connected to the negatives of both batteries.
B is a IN5408 or NTE5809 diode which goes to the positive of the charging battery.
Thats it. Very simple

The hardest part is getting the timing just right so that it will run. The points have to open before the magnet on the rotor gets to the coil and close just after it gets there.

My intention is to add more rotors to the shaft to increase its torque and add more coils. There can be 4 between each  rotor, so with three rotors I can have 8 coils. Lots of power and lots of torque. I am in the process of building a BIG model of this concept.

When the charging battery is connected, nothing unusual takes place. When it is disconnected, there is a bright blue spark that flashes between the points as the cam rotates. This is the negative energy.

This is a one wire coil that captures the negative energy that is put out whenever the magnetic field in the coil collapses. I had this same circuit hooked to a 12 volt electric motor that I got from US Robotics. That motor used brushes and as it turned, it put out a HELL of a nice charge. I was able to run all kinds of things off of it for several months and then it just quit working.

I believe that a motor or an alternator can be used to run part of the time as a motor which keeps itself turning, and part of the time as an alternator which produces electricity. (At least one such device was actually manufactured shortly after WWII and sold all over the eastern part of the US. It had special brushes, and when they wore out, the units quit working. All this is documented FACT)

This is the direction my research is taking me. I have purchased several small motors and alternators that run on 12 volts and am attempting to get them to run in this manner. I WAS successful for three months, but I need to be able to REPLICATE that success, and it needs to last longer than three months.

Nope, that was my mistake. Hopefully I have fixed that error now! If not, someone let me know and I will try it again.
