Forgive me if I took your statement to imply that the Bible is the word of man.  It's just that I've seen the enemies of God use the same excuse to malign the Good Book and spread all manner of lies.


That the Bible's authorship is Divine, there can be no honest & studious doubt.

You should really read the Gilgamesh Epos one day Techstuff.

Then you would know the pagan origins of much that is in the bible and was just copied and adapted by the Jews. The people that wrote that shit certainly weren't divine.

I'd have to disagree with you re: the Bible.

I've seen and experienced too many events and situations that tip the probability of occurrence off the scale too many times. I dont do drugs so I know my faculties arent addled.
If God were dead ( or didnt exist ) you might get one or two "Dude thats just so weird..." events in your lifetime, but when you get to 20-40 in the space of 10 years, you just realise "coincidence" is a nice way of white washing the fact ( in my eyes ) the fact that God is in total control of everything.

Had I not had the engineering training and love of logic I could have just put it down to "just one of those things".

But hey, I can appreciate some people reckon anythying Bible is bad ( I have seen many people who say they were christian and behaved extremely badly or hypocritically - these people are obviously NOT christian and give those of us who do try and live as Christ commanded, a bad name... )
Its a story I hear a fair bit - bad experinces colour peoples interpretation of christainity.

Heres a non-moot point - what people see as "mainstream christianity" is heavily distorted and not actual christanity as Christ taught it. Historically, Constantine formed modern christainity as a basis of a political need, not a sound biblical basis. "Chistendom" is the bastard child of political need and spineless sell-out bishops of the day. Alistair Kee wrote a great book called "Constantine vs Christ" where Constantine is plainly exposed as a skilled politician but not a theologian. And it all rotted from there. Some of us however try and do things as they were taught, and get labelled as "heretics" because ironically we do as we were taught - go figure.....and while some people point to people like GWB as "christian", anyone who actually understands what christianity will see people like him are not christian by their actions - and its actions that are the decider here.  And the filter we use is the Bible.

Its important to make this point. And while were at it, christains also realise killing is wrong ( so no military involvement ), they stay out of politics ( they dont form political parties ) and they obey the laws of the land, as long as it doesnt clash with the command to spread the word, in which case we obey Gods word over mans.

So....I guess anyone can easy make a sweeping statement about things , however knowledge is the key here. In a true christians eyes,  there is no higher authority that God and His word the Bible - anything else is not correct.

According to the bible, you can enslave your fellow human and must give Ceasar his due taxes.

If that is not the dirty fingerprint of manipilative man, then nothing is.

And I believe that you will never accept this fact.

Just keep your religious opinions out of my threads...you are taking the focus off the thread's intent to bring awareness to the type of corruption which is negative impacting every aspect of our lives...and has suppressed alternate forms of energy for decades.

Or is your true objective on this forum to distract that focus ?

I am beginning to wonder.

If you must...then start your own biblical based threads...hopefully, you will move on, once you realize there is no interest here.
