Hi , any one knows about this Schematic attached？

In the picture,there is a spark gap(1200V) (in the green square), can we replace the the spark gap with a Bidirectional diode? Any one can propose the model and specs of the Bidirectional diode?

Another question: in the red square, what does 8m mean? 8 meters length?

The green section what you are referring to a bi-directional diode is nothing of the kind you could use a high voltage Triac but you also need a Diac that fires at around 1200volts so make sure you dont let the charge exceed 1200 volts, 8M sounds like 8 meters but you realy need an inductance meter.

I think the schematic on the previous page is actually showing a spark gap that looks like two diodes opposing each other.  I would assume 8m means 8 meters which would be about 26 feetx2 (52 feet of secondary would be about 52 turns at 10" circumference... missing info like wire dia and length, dia of l1...  the scope images in that drawing helped me to see whats supposed to be happening though.  hoping someday to see a working version of this type of device along with detailed plans.

And that leaves us with two choices:

Either those replications are all fake and just presented as mere joke in order to amuse the audience or he has cracked the Tesla - Moray - Kapanadze - Stepanov - Smith secret and can now play around with it at his convenience.

Maybe he could also replicate the Moray device or even Tesla's electric Pierce-Arrow sedan.
