You have a good eye Penno, I totally missed that. Maybe it is what SR drew on his coil wires and is a capacitive coupling to the coil? I have no clue. Why don't you just PM him on youtube and ask?

I found some 40K diodes on ebay for about 30 bucks. I'm thinking about getting a few and taking a stab at whatever he is doing. Hope he shares some info.

Interesting! Where did you get that? Looks like a flattened Gray tube.

Above the spark gap on the left I can make out the words nitrogen and oxygen and then it looks like it ejects some helium out the top which would indicate fusion took place in a spark gap. That could explain the green and black tanks photo that someone posted.

Can you upload a bigger / clearer image?
