Converting near infrared electromagnetic radiation into electrical potential energy is very upsetting to the powers that be because there is an awful lot of nearinfrared radiation waves on and about our planet solar system and pretty much the entire Universe.  We are basically forms of infrared electromagnetic exchange systems.  In the mitochondria of our red blood cells we oxidize carbohydrates.  The electron exchange in the redox process creates what physicists call thermal photons.  A thermal photon is just a radiowave in the nearinfrared band.  This is how we maintain our bodies internal temperature when it is cold out.  The redblood cells are little chemical furnaces that wait until they are near a cell that needs some input to do it's thing.  The redblood cell then is triggered into burning the carbohydrates it is carrying near the cell in need of energy and the electron acceleration and deacceleration that determines the thermal energy of all chemical reactions  broadcasts the burn into the receiving antennae inside the cell that needs it.
