Tank circuit has exponentially decaying waveform, why ? What if tank circuit is completed with second tank, so there would be bifilar wound coil and cap at both ends. You charge one cap and connect it. What kind of waveform is created ? When power is taken from it, it changes inductance of the coils. Normally this would drive system of resonance, it would no longer match drive frequency, and current would begin to flow. But now drive frequency is from the caps themselves so it does not matter if L changes, system would be autoresonant: tank circuit always runs at its own resonant frequency if it allowed to do so. I think caduceous coil would be best for taking the power, but other styles should be tested also.

Could someone do this simple experiment and put results here ?

While the idea is understandable, the resonance frequency of this circuit changes with different loads, so not sure under what conditions this was supposed to maintain the resonance frequency. Where did you find the circuit?
