Yep. But the left ammeter is connected to a HF circuit and the right ammeter to a DC circuit. Maybe that matters.

On the other hand, this looks like a Tesla coil running in Joule Thief mode. That's exactly what I had ask for on June 14, last year.

There are systems that fit what you asked for in that old post. Apparently by "Joule Thief mode" you are meaning the auto-resonant performance.
The "Slayer Exciter" is one such solid-state Tesla coil with no spark gap and which automatically seeks and maintains the resonant condition in the secondary. My SassyClassE sstc uses another type of circuit which also seeks and maintains resonance automatically. More sophisticated SSTCs use phase-locked loops to achieve the same purpose. The Royer-type two transistor multivibrators seen in the various TK schematics driving the initial primary coil are also automatically resonating their respective tank circuits.

Anyone ever try this simple setup.  It uses a tesl coil type setup??

Maybe one has tried already. Another simple setup: The Kapanadze Patent.

This maybe just a strange coincidence, but to me both circuits looking somewhat similar (and anyway I love strange coincidences).

Now question: What could happen if ordinary 50Hz transformers/coils are used instead of the high frequency coils? Could it be that »the gates of hell« are also opened if the transformers are in the proper configuration?

Nor does the scource of ac voltage working the load.  What it could do however is make apparent scources of ac that are being consumed by a conductor's atoms.    Like it would be interesting to see if you place a length of wire next to a magnet and take a look at voltage appearing at the ends of the conductor.  Then take the magnet away and repeat.
