What can we do with a pair of thyristors connected back-to-back? Either we can switch a capacitor for power factor correction or -more interestingly- we can use it as a phase control dimmer.

The problem: In order to connect to the ground (to a block of metal, the ambient medium, the vacuum, the aether) we need high(er) voltage. That high voltage has to be switched sharply like with a spark. Hence how to switch 2500V 50Hz AC (that's around 3500V peak-to-peak) with a pair of thyristors rated at 1000V? Perhaps we should switch the primary rather than the secondary coil of that high voltage transformer?

What could happen if the primary coil of a 50Hz high voltage transformer is connected to a phase control dimmer? (That makes no sense in normal mode of operation) Will that create sharp high voltage pulses at the transformer's secondary coil? If so, can we bring that high voltage pulses in resonance with an additional LC circuit by driving the gates of the thyristors (or a single TRIAC) appropriately? Then the high voltage attracts electrons from a block of metal electrostatically through a resonating LC circuit in one 50Hz cycle and gives them back to the block of metal in the following 50Hz cycle, therefore amplifying the current in that LC circuit for free, since more electrons means higher electric current?

Maybe someone should try that out. :)

No. I am not 100% sure about vasmus device. I just write what I see in the video. But it's not as difficult as kapanadze device. 70-80% everything seems in vasmus videos.
