Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Do you think the American economy will ever improve?

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run
No, it will worsen
Undecided

the singal H that bob uses is reaction mass only, his rockets are nuclear powered.

I do remember in the novel, "The Rolling Stones", a plot point as having "single 'H' " as a propellent ingredient, but I can't remember there being a nuclear reactor in the aft end of their cargo ship.

In and earlier novel about teenagers going to the moon and combatting leftover WWII Nazis, that ship had a nuclear reactor with mercury(?) for a working-thrust producing component.  Those were the ones I remember offhand.
BACK TO TOPIC:
Minn. is starting to shut down in a political fight over pensions and unions.  This isn't helping the economy in any way.
People up to 15km further outside the restricted zone are showing radiation in or on their persons.  School children are being given radiation meters.
Greece still has to cut spending and the citizens are up in arms about it.  I imagine their economy is cratering steadily as long as strikes and riots continue.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

It seems that my laptop is back in working order. You are right about the water rising lee,I had a knee high flood in my basement but the sewer dept caused it,I am supposed to get an insurance check of some kind for damages to the structure.Takes three weeks!triffid

I saw on the new last night that north dakota has 3.2% unemployment.Too bad if people run to that state without looking at the low population numbers.Seems that they were talking about a population of just over 100,000.A long time ago back in the 1980s tulsa okla was noted on the news as being a place to find JOBs.Soon droves of the unemployed headed our way.I was a tulsan at the time.Any excess jobs soon dried up leaving those who came later without one.In the end those who remained jobless went elsewhere.triffid

My computer was able to access Mc donalds wifi for the first time in about three weeks today. It feels good to be able to have internet access once again.I want to try solar powered rockets sometime in place of nuclear powered rockets.Since the sun is a natural fusion reactor anyway.I might be able to focus energy of the suns energy on a single point to get over 10,000 degrees F.Instead of the 3000 degrees F given to a nuclear reactor.I think solar sailing from low earth orbit to low orbits around other planets and moons would be a good start for mankind to start spreading into the solar system.Slow but steady woulb be our expansion.Of course I'm always for faster speeds. But solar sailing  would give us a start.triffid

UPDATE:
The losing game continues.
Greece will default sooner or later because they're not cutting spending and they continue to borrow heavily.  Portugal was credit-downgraded by 4 notches to a really low value.  (They're in consternation!)  The fear is:  Italy is a bigger country and it's not doing a lot better economically right now than the other two.

The U.S. Congress should have until about July 22-25 to be able to take time to pass the budget (If! Any!)   Minn. is still in limbo as well.  State official functions are closed---or they were.

Stay tuned.
