Willy, I hope you still have enough wild game to eat when there are thousands of people trapping,hunting,and fishing along beside you.I'm all for hidden gardens.Im for hidden wealth too.Ugly wealth too.Not too many people think about that one(ugly wealth).A good example is property with IRS tax liens against it.Back in 1991 I had a chance to buy a farm in mo.for only $3,000 but it had a 6,000 dollar IRS tax lien against it.It scared me off then.But not now.triffid

i don't rely on hope... there won't be as many people doing it as you think. most don't have a clue how and the rest will be busy eating each other or hoarding something useless...

i get 90% of my food via hunting, trapping, fishing or growing right now... so, no need to argue, i live it. and pity those who do not.

And someone can watch you carefully while you do it.   I would if I were them.   Anyone who can survive the collapse should be smart enough to take advantage of easier food by taking it from someone else.   There'll be no law, you know.   The door to my apartment can be forced or kicked in.   So can yours, unless you live in an obvious Cold-War Era bunker.   That by itself should be a giveaway.   Hunting rifles exist as long as there's shells to load them with.   Then there's arrows.   Either one can get you from a distance by an experienced hunter without you seeing it coming.   It only takes one shot.

No one gets away free, including you.   Oh, you could be thinking I might not include myself because I think I'm better than you?
Even if I can't read your mind, I have an answer for you already:
      I joined a martial arts society in which the Sensei  teaches hand knife(tanto) and sword defense.   Now, Genius, you might have thought I didn't think of rifles and bows/arrows being shot at me as well?
       Okay, okay, I've tried to think of that.   I'm writing this, yes?   I've survived on major city streets and I still fend for myself in S.F. on the streets.   Luck, adaptability, spontaneity, endurance, creativity and intelligence; along with relevant past experience have gotten me this far.   It will have to continue to do so.   Best I can do now.

I didn't tell you everything, but I am very glad you allowed me the chance to debate you on these points.   This is a very long thread with a bunch of viewers.   Lots of people will see this exchange and I think I'm being fair enough to allow them to decide which of us has more truth.   They also have their minds to think with and free will to chose what they want to do.   We can all do that.

and what will you do when your stockpile runs out?  you will have to either trap, fish, hunt for or grow your own food... or take it from someone else. or are you assuming that our infrastructure for those supplying those things to the ignorants will remain in place and after a month or two things will return to 'normal'?
