Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Do you think the American economy will ever improve?

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run
No, it will worsen
Undecided

Thanks for that link, good call at this time. For those that think that things will improve... wake up!
The economy is just one of the factors, the weather conditions, solar flares, and ...  will all affect us.
  Get ready!

Good question.  No rounds for me,   yet.  But, if I were you, I'd buy as many rounds as you can afford, bigger caliper the better, or shotgun, maybe. And a secret and secure hiding place to put it, along with any valuables. As mentioned thieves love guns, almost as much as money.
Mean dogs work for food. They are a cheap investment, if you can afford to feed them. Bars on the windows, alarm systems, etz... like we have to have here, already.  The harder you make it for them to get to you the better off you'll be.
A home vegetable garden does not grow overnight, or in your cold winters. Greenhouse may help, some.  I've seen some orientals grow their own food indoors under grow lights, where it won't get stolen. Pump their own well water, make a fish pond, use electric everything that runs on solar panels.
But, none of this can be done on the 10 floor apartment, so leave the city, while you can.
Those that don't head the call, well,  good luck. You'll need it...

Since the China solar panel market is broke, the price of panels will shortly drop. Thank God... as we'll need them if and when the grid goes down, along with the economy.
Trade the gasoline gussler for an electric vehicle, while you can.
That's what I plan on doing, ASAP!   It much easier to do, when money still means something, before we see that it may not.
We don't have to save the world, we have to save ourselves.
I hope that I have not bored you all, I know that you've heard it all before, but... this is where I'm headed, if I can.

Right.   Couldn't have said it any better.
It's all 'coming to a head', as it were, but you might do better if you're strong; smart; adaptable(especially!); resourceful; knowledgable; prepared; in good health at the start; have the necessary endurance; have real(!) determination to survive; weapons(if necessary); well-supplied(guns and ammo, included) and aren't afaaid to defend your live to whatever extent is required to survive.

I think I covered just about everything I could think of, offhand.

Do what it takes!!!

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

how many rounds would you suggest? and what caliber?
Not an issue with me.   I'm not legally allowed to own a gun.   Nothing I did illegal, it's a mental thing.

Oh, BTW, Wilby..., I don't mind telling you about this now, since it's 'all coming crashing' for the economy down in a few months at the latest, anyway.   You did ask, "When was it coming?", didn't you?
Okay, fine.
You have your answer.   So does everyone else.

I do have a legally functional daisho with a katana and a wakizashi on a display stand---in plain sight of anyone who looks at it, in my personal residence.  All legal.   These swords are sharp enough to do this...

...and this sword is from a competing manufacturer, but essentially the same sword in component construction...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2I2HCm-6UI&feature=related
...and that's a presentation of one of the swords I have.   The other is just as sharp, just 8" longer and twice as heavy(a katana).

I'll do what it takes to defend myself.   I'll just do it as legally as I know how.
