Thank you for the reply and link for the education. It appears that Mursi is merely another career politician from way back simply doing what up and comers do...step on whomever it takes to get the power they...deserve? at least in their mind? Nothing new there except the scenery, right? Again, the people are the losers. No help for them regardless of the humanitarian aid sent. It never reaches them.

Now this Syria thing is really serious, I think. Most likely Russia and China both will come out against us if we decide to flex our military muscle there. Russia has been invested in Syria for years along with and through Iran, and China has definitely cultivated a friendship with Iran as well. Sortof an unspoken bunch of allies. I do know that the bases here in NC and SC have their guys on alert and getting ready to go. Scary, really. We don't need this.

There's several papers in the financial community that predict a massive financial meltdown in the future and the main reason(s) are that nothing was done to correct the original problem(s).

I'm going home and rest now, but I agree with the prediction:  They're right.      Nothing.      Was.      Done.

I hope you can rest and will be praying for you. The economic disaster you are talking about is real and in a normal world would have already happened, I think. If governments had to account for themselves with balance sheets like we do to our governments it would already be over. My earlier comments about simply changing currency goes as much to my contempt for their disregard of anything sane with respect to fiscal policy and responsibility as it does to my distrust for their integrity...what integrity?

Triffid: You are right. Syria is next on our list of folks to invade and...liberate? Unfortunately it was most likely the Muslim rebels aligned with al-quieda (not sure of spelling) that did the gassing in order to get us to do their dirty work and take out Assad. He was winning support back in Syria from the rebels and apparently we want him out. Can you say Lybia and Egypt all over again? This time, though, we are playing with the big boys (Russia and China) alone and I think the Saudi's probably don't like us messing up their part of the world all around them; turning their neighbors into radical Muslim nations instead of nicely controlled peoples that left them alone. That makes sense to me anyway. Time will tell.

I myself am a very liberal, religious Jew and I believe men are as evil as King David and the Apostle Paul say they are.   These politicians are just smart enough to perform the required flim-flam to keep the whole charade going as long as possible.

Exactly.   My point above stands as is.   The idea triffid was promoting was, and is, self-reliance and self-determined freedom.   Right.   Couldn't put it better myself.   I just think the economy is poised to self-destruct with a day's warning at the most.   I have what I can afford to protect myself, if need be.
