Old tv sets have those capacitors.I did find 100 kilohm resistors but you need about 16,000 of them to make that 1.6 megaohm resistor.At about $3.50 US each thats a lot of money.Good luck in building.triffid

I don't think you need to worry about resistors, the plan I linked does not even talk about it, its just the spark plug, so I believe its a no worry :)

Has anyone tried multiple straight wires to possibly increase capacitance.

No I have not but I have seen two wires parked close together to act like a capacitor like so:(II), which worked for the circuit they were building.triffid
